Discover Mali! This Tour will allow you to meet the Mali culture all around the Niger river until the Sahara desert. On the way, you'll have a cruise on the Niger and you'll see the impressive Dogon Country. The famous Sahara desert is waiting for you in Timbuktu, on the middle of nowhere... Malian people are proud of their culture. Bamako, the capital, looks like an endless market. Beautifully dressed women balance trays with piles of fruit or vegetables on their heads. Mali is colourful, friendly and relaxing. Follow the course of the Niger river; marvel at its wooden boats, pottery villages, pirogues, artisan centres and mud paintings. In Mopti, meet locals, witness hair-braiding, bicycle washing, boat building and fish trading.

Day 1 Bamako Mali Tour Bamako airport. Depending to the hour of your arrival, you'll visit the Grande Mosquee and the "Maison des artisans" to see wood carving, instruments, games, jewellery... First night in Bamako. 2 Bamako Mali Tour Visit the National Museum of Bamako to see amazing masks. Travel to the Point G to see a panoramic view on the city. Second night in Bamako. 3 Segou Mali Tour Travel to Segou. Visit pottery villages by pirogue. Walk along the Niger river. One night in Segou. 4 Djenne, Mopti Mali Tour Travel to Mopti (300 miles). Stop in Djenne to see the Grande Mosquee (the world's largest mud-brick structure) and the mud buildings of this city. Three nights in Mopti. 5 Mopti Mali Tour Walk around the port, see the impressive Grande Mosquee which was built in 1935 (impossible to visit for the non-Muslims). Travel to the Marche des Souvenirs, to see carpets, beads, silver jewellery, pottery, masks... Second night in Mopti. 6 Cruise Mali Tour Cruise on the Niger, to see fishermen villages and nomadic villages. This river has a very rich birdlife and wildlife too (hippos...) Last night in Mopti. 7 Dogon country - Bandiagara Mali Tour Tour to Bandiagara to discover the wonderful and unique landscapes of Dogon country. Visit the Dogon villages of Djombolo, Tegourou and Djiguibombo. One night in Bandiagara. 8 Kakum National Park Mali Tour Travel to Hombori, near the reserve of Douentza. Look at the Hombori mounts and the hand of Fatima (la Main de Fatiima), Kontjo cliff. One night in Douentza. 9 Timbuktu Mali Tour Today, drive to Timbuktu. Stop in some villages to see mud buildings. Visit Timbuktu, its Ethnological museum, the Marche artisanal. Camel treks in the evening. Two nights in Timbuktu. 10 Timbuktu Mali Tour Excursion to the Sahara desert to see the tuareg area.
